Back to the Beginning

Ok, so I know I am horrible at keeping up with this new blog. I apologize. I just noticed it has been a year since I started this blog and I have only blogged once. That is ridiculous. I used to love blogging, reading blogs and just being creative in general! I guess I've just lost my ability to focus enough to blog. However, this is something I want! I want to have a place to keep the memories my family are making. So, I'm giving it another try! Here's an update of the last year... I'll keep it brief....
**I became the mother of "ten"agers. Sam and Hailey turned 10 in Oct. They are keeping me super busy. Samantha finished her year of Hip Hop in June. She has been taking guitar lessons for well over a year and continues to improve her skills. She started cheerleading in Sept and ABSOLUTELY loves it! I think we have finally found her place in the world. Hailey continues to play the piano and has taken up Karate this year. She recently received her Yellow belt and was over the moon! They are fourth graders now and are making all A's! They are growing into beautiful little ladies and I couldn't be more proud!
**Reese turned 3 in January and continues to be a Mama's boy! I don't mind one bit! He is finally settling into the life of having divorced parents that both want to spend every second they can with him. He is very routine oriented. If his routine is interrupted without prior warning and explanation, his little world turns upside down (in turn, so does ours). He is a spitting image of his father but carries his mama's heart around in his hands! He is super smart, very verbal and keeps me on my toes!
**Justin is the newest edition to our little corner of crazy!! He is absolutely a GOD SEND! That man knows how to not only read me like a book, but also how to calm the raging waves of my heart! He has been my best friend through some of the toughest days of my life. He has allowed me to figure out who I am and what I need. He loves me with the love of Christ - unconditionally, unwaivering, and unapologetically. He loves my babies like they are his own and yet not only respects the roles of the others in their lives, but encourages those relationships! He is my sensibility when I have lost my senses! He is my present and my future and loves me for my past! He is the one who makes all the heartbreak of my last ten years seem worth it! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us - I know it's going to be HUGE!!!
**And then there's me... I'm still doing the Paramedic thing, the Guardian ad Litem thing and of course, the mom thing. I was diagnosed with Lupus in July of 2010, so I have had to slow down a bit, but still going more than I should! I'm back in school- working for my BA in Health and Human Services. Other than that, nothing new to report. Just me being me, finding my place in the world and loving life in my own little corner of crazy!
So there you have it... the reader's digest version of the last year! I am going to attempt to blog at least once a week.... at least that's my desire! So stay tuned! We're getting back on this horse...
PS I hope to update the pictures soon...

WELCOME

Welcome to my NEW blog. If you are one of my previous readers, thank you for your continued support. If you are new to my world, thank you for your interest. This is my second blog. If you are new and would like to see some of where I've come from, please feel free to visit my OLD blog. Because I am beginning a new chapter in my life, I wanted a place to blog that was fresh... I debated whether or not to delete the old, but I've decided to keep it up as it is a HUGE part of the last chapter of my life and it gives a vantage point that may allow someone to connect with me who may not have otherwise.
As my previous blog was dedicated to my life as an Army wife and mother, this blog shall be devoted to my new roller coaster ride as a single mom of three! I can't promise that I will blog everyday. Living life as a single mom doesn't allow for much time for blogging. However, I will do my best - THAT is a promise. I would love to read your comments, thoughts and stories anytime you want to take the time to share.
Thank you again for sharing in my journey through this crazy life!!!
